Description
Deep dark ruby red, wild berries and cherry on the nose, smoky and vanilla aromas seasoned with paprika and pepper. Very full-bodied on the palate, with great power and abundance. Distinct tannins and its enormous length suit this wine exceptionally well.
Food pairing
A wonderful companion to hearty game, but also to dark meat or spicy cheese.
Series description
This renowned steep slope was formerly owned by the State Winery. Today, the Steinberg is the premium vineyard of Durbach and is cultivated and maintained exclusively by young winegrowers through painstaking manual labor. This requires a great deal of idealism and passion. Particularly strict yield regulation also ensures outstanding quality and great wines. Regular international awards confirm our passionate dedication to this unique steep slope.
