From the family farm to MeinAboWein
I am Jürgen Klaus, a master winegrower from Durbach. Our family farm produces grapes for Durbacher Winzer eG. MeinAboWein gives the wines, grower families and vineyard work a personal face.

I have managed our third-generation family farm since 2022. On more than 21 hectares we focus entirely on viticulture and the production of healthy, high-quality grapes.
My work includes tractor work, pruning, soil care, tying, canopy work, young vineyards, organising helpers and harvesting. The cooperative’s specialists make and bottle the finished wines.

Milena and family
Important support with a different view of wine.
Milena and I met at a winery where I worked as a winegrower. She came as a seasonal worker for the harvest, and we got to know and love each other there.
She did not grow up in viticulture. Her questions help make MeinAboWein understandable for people without wine knowledge. She continues in her own profession and supports our family life.
Responsibility today
Farm, cooperative and an independent new route.
As a member of Durbacher Winzer eG I know the wines, people and processes closely. Since 2025 I have chaired the supervisory board, accompanying strategy, overseeing the board and representing member farms.
MeinAboWein remains my independent business. The cooperative supplies the wines and handles logistics, but it is not the customer’s contractual partner.
Developing MeinAboWein
Built by myself – and still developing.
I built the website and system myself and continue to develop it step by step. The focus is not technology for its own sake, but simple wine buying, personal insights and a connection between customers, vineyard and cooperative.
Many further ideas will improve the account, selection, wine information and social-media insights.

Two generations that shaped the farm.
My grandparents Gottlieb and Irma turned the former mixed farm into a pure vineyard farm. Gottlieb also served the cooperative and supported local vineyard restructuring.
My parents Emil and Susanne took over in 1997. They expanded vineyards, terraces and irrigation, and my father carried responsibility in the cooperative for many years.

Earlier family roots
Great-grandfather Emil Klaus from Bischoffingen.
The family’s winegrowing roots reach further back to Bischoffingen in the Kaiserstuhl. Emil Klaus was a winegrower, cooperative member and agricultural advocate.
